Sorry I’ve been such a slacker, but I’m up to my eyebrows in rewrites, and have been trying to slog through as quickly as possible. The good news is that my editor is working on my second book, “Rebound” RIGHT NOW, and I’ll be getting edits back from her sometime next week, which I’m totally looking forward to. The book should go to press around the 19th so I should have my cover in the next couple of weeks–which I’m really excited about.
Other news in my life: I have had two baby chicks hatch in the past twenty-four hours–my first for the year.
I got laid off my part-time job last week, which means I’ll have a lot more time for writing and editing.
Did I mention that I dropped off my next book at my publisher a couple of weeks back? I’m trying not to think about it right now because I probably won’t hear if my publisher likes it or not until late April (though I wouldn’t complain if it were sooner).
Tomorrow I’ll be announcing an awesome giveaway that you will all want to be a part of, so definitely check back because the prize is just that great.
I have a whole bunch of books I’ll be blogging about in the next couple of months, so stay tuned to learn about the books and possibly win awesome prizes, and if you need some book bloggin’ goodness right now, Karen Hoover’s first book The Sapphire Flute–a YA fantasy–will be in stores in a couple of weeks, so her blog tour has already begun. Check out links to reviews and other fun stuff on her blog.
Now I really have to go north and take care of some clients, do some shopping, and pray that the weather holds.
Wow, busy and productive! Good luck on the rewrites–and congrats on all you have going on.
I'm sory about the job loss but that's awesome about the chicks. =] Be sure and let us know how it goes with the new book!
