It’s getting colder outside and soon sitting around a fire pit to make S’mores will be out of the question. But you can still enjoy this three-ingredient sweet dessert at home using the oven. This recipe came from Pistols & Pies, my second book in the Sweet Bites mystery series, which is free on Amazon through tonight only.
But in case you miss this awesome discount deal, check out this recipe for a day when it’s cold outside, but you need a taste of warm summer nights.
Oven S'mores
This Oven S'more recipe is fun for kids to help with and a great way to recall warm summer nights around the fire pit.
Ingredients
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1-8oz container of marshmallow fluff
- 8-10 graham crackers, the large rectangular size. About 1 plastic-wrapped package from a box.
Instructions
Crumble up crackers into nickel to quarter sized pieces and
spread across the bottom of a 9x12 cake pan.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips across the top and then slide it into a preheated oven of 350 degrees. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the chocolate chips go all melty when you touch them with a knife.
Remove the pan and spread the marshmallow fluff on top. Allow to cool enough to handle and serve.
Beware, they’re messy, but really good. You can do these in the microwave in a pinch, but you get best results in the oven. You can half the recipe for an 8x8 square pan.
